Make Your Manicure Last Longer
1. Moisturize, moisturize.
Dry cuticles and nails can wreak havoc on a beautiful manicure in no time. Protect nail beds and prevent breakage.
2. Keep nail length short.
Shorter nails have less opportunity to break, peel, or snag, and therefore have a better chance to hold onto color.
3. Follow-up on upkeep.
Two days after your manicure, add polish to tips where needed. Four days after, apply a fresh topcoat over the entire nail.
4. Protect nails from the elements.
Cleaning, doing laundry, or washing the dishes? A pair of gloves will do wonders to protect nails from harsh detergents and water, which will soften nails and chip away at color.
5. Be aware of anti-bacterial soaps.
Overuse not only lessens the effectiveness, but also dries out hands and nails. Use sparingly.
6. Love the color? Buy a bottle for at-home use.
Do easy touch-ups when needed.
