NuBest Adopts Sporty Uniforms
Thank you Manhasset Press for the feature article!
Always at the forefront of the latest trends that transcend hair and beauty, nuBest salon and spa has taken a page from the playbooks of the fashion world’s heaviest hitters – Tom Ford, Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs and Miuccia Prada, to name a few – with the unveiling of their updated uniforms for Summer 2014. Sticking to a high contrast black-and-white color palette, the legendary salon’s over 125 stylists, colorists and makeup artists will be decked out in a football-style jersey, emblazoned with the number 73…of course, to commemorate the year that nuBest first opened its doors with its visionary owner, Michael Mazzei, at the helm.
nuBest is no stranger to the fashion pantheon, with frequent mentions in the pages of numerous style bibles including Vogue, Elle, Allure, Glamour and Marie Claire, so those in charge at the salon are certainly well-versed in the top trends from season to season. And with athletic-inspired styles dominating the Spring/Summer 2014 runways and trickling into the upcoming Fall season, the change in uniforms to something sportier is truly a home run. Conceptualized by the salon’s creative director, Christian Fleres, the nuBest “jerseys” most notably pay homage to Tom Ford’s Fall collection, which featured two sequined jersey dresses inscribed with the designer’s name and year of birth. The dresses became an instant hit, with one of them later worn by Beyonce during one of her performances, and the trend continued to pop up both on the catwalk and on the streets. At nuBest, the black jerseys are paired with white jeans for hair cutters and stylists, and black denim for colorists, and finished off with a pair of chic black slip-on sneakers – one of the trending shoe styles of the season.
Be sure to check out the nuBest team’s new uniforms upon your next visit to the salon.
